Kinderkick is Hollywood Soccer Club's special soccer program in Fall and Spring for children currently enrolled in Kindergarten.
The program includes fun activities and informal scrimmages with teammates. No soccer experience necessary.
Adult coaches lead the group with assistance from older HWSC players which creates a fun atmosphere.
Kinderkick is offered in the Fall (Mid-September) and Spring (early April).
Registration includes a team jersey.
The one-hour per week program meets for six consecutive weeks each season.
The program focuses on skill development, ball touches and small-sided games.
Contact our Kinderkick Coordinator for more information.
Season
Cost: Registration fees are around 60$ per season. Scholarships are available (email the club).
When: Kinderkick will be held one hour per week (Day TBD, likely 5-6 pm) six consecutive weeks beginning in mid-September for Fall and Early April for Spring.
Where: Likely in the grassy area in front of Grant High School.
Coaches: There is a kinkderkick leader each year but this program only works with the support of volunteer parent coaches - please consider it! (no soccer experience required) . We also recruit older players from the club to be assistant coaches which fosters a wonderful community atmosphere.
Also: Kinderkick is only open to players who will be enrolled in Kindergarten during Fall of the current school year and is not intended for younger Pre-K enthusiasts.
Pierced Ears
PYSA has a no jewelry policy for games for safety, and players must remove their earrings and other jewelry before the game starts - no earlobe taping, flat plastic earrings or exceptions are allowed!
Even under ideal conditions, pierced ears can take a minimum of 6 weeks to heal completely, and often need more time. Removing earrings from newly pierced ears for the duration of a game can lead to pain when they’re replaced, or even worse, closed holes.
To avoid the potential heartbreak, discomfort and expense of dealing with pierced ear complications, we recommend waiting until soccer season ends to get ears pierced. And a group ear piercing expedition could be just the thing for soccer friends to wrap up a season.
